Born and raised in Singapore, MAKIYO LIO is a photographer and director based between London and NYC.

Working across fashion, portraiture and documentary - Her work is characterised by an intimate and dreamlike feel inspired by cinematic colours and the characters she shoots. Typically drawn to non traditional stories, Makiyo has a raw, honest and playful way of capturing her subjects and narratives. She is highly skilled in editorial and commercial publishing across print and digital media platforms.
